Spin Fishing Trips

At Rising River Guides, traditionally we are fly fishing the white river. However, sometimes we understand you are just not into fly fishing. We still want to take you fishing! We believe in conservation and taking care of the fish that take care of us. Spin fishing can often be very hard on the trout, but not always. Jigs are the exception.

One of the most deadly techniques for trout fishing is spin fishing with a jig. We use lightweight spinning tackle and fish marabou jigs. These jigs can imitate shad, crawfish, sculpin, and an array of other baitfish. The jigs are irresistible and easy to fish. Most importantly after we pinch the barbs they are basically just flies.

So don’t hesitate to bring that family member or friend who just won’t fly fish with you next time on your guided trip. We can set them up with a jig rod and you guys can both drift fish in conjunction with each other. Or heck maybe you just want to try something different. We have a trip for you. At the end of the day, getting on the water and learning how to protect our resources is all that important!
