At Rising River Guides, traditionally we are fly fishing the white river. However, sometimes we understand you are just not into fly fishing. We still want to take you fishing! We believe in conservation and taking care of the fish that take care of us. Spin fishing can often be very hard on the trout, but not always. Jigs are the exception.
One of the most deadly techniques for trout fishing is spin fishing with a jig. We use lightweight spinning tackle and fish marabou jigs. These jigs can imitate shad, crawfish, sculpin, and an array of other baitfish. The jigs are irresistible and easy to fish. Most importantly after we pinch the barbs they are basically just flies.
